Privacy Policy for Medita

Medita is a native Markdown editor for macOS made by Wandersound Interactive Audio. This policy explains how Medita handles information.

No data collection

Medita does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, subscriptions, third-party AI provider, or API key.

Your documents and media

Documents, images, audio files, and exported files remain on your Mac. Medita accesses a file only after you select it, open it with Medita, or save or export it. The app uses macOS sandbox permissions to limit that access.

To make Open Recent work, Medita stores a security-scoped bookmark for recently opened documents on your device. This bookmark stays in Medita's local app storage, is not sent to Wandersound, and can be removed at any time by choosing File → Open Recent → Clear Menu.

Optional document review

Medita's optional Review feature sends the document text you choose to review to Apple's on-device SystemLanguageModel, part of Apple Intelligence. Medita does not send that text to Wandersound or to a third-party AI provider, and the feature works without a network connection. If Apple Intelligence is unavailable or disabled, the Review feature is unavailable; the rest of Medita continues to work.

Local preferences

Medita stores your editor theme, font choice, text size, heading-style preference, and recent-document bookmarks locally on your Mac. These preferences are used only to restore your chosen app experience.

Children’s privacy

Medita does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Medita's privacy practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
